I am struggling with the online format of my class. What help is available?
Academic Peer Mentors and the Learning Specialist can assist you with adapting your learning strategies to an online format. Go to our Study Resources page for tools and strategies for academic success.
Do cancellation policies for appointments still apply?
Yes. If you have an appointment for tutoring or Academic Mentoring, you must cancel 24 hours in advance or it will count as a missed appointment.
I am a Weekly Tutoring Program Student who would like to add, change, or remove my tutoring session. Who do I contact?
Please contact Jack Reid to make changes to your Weekly Tutoring Program plan.
Do I need anything specific to access Blackboard Collaborate Ultra?
In order to use Blackboard Collaborate Ultra, you need a computer, tablet, or phone with internet connection. A camera and microphone is recommended, but not required. You can use a call-in feature with your phone to use as a microphone once you enter the session.
How long will ASC services be online?
ASC services will remain online until classes return to an in-person format.
What about In-Hall and Athletics Study Hall tutoring?
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings, there will be drop-in tutoring available through BlackBoard Collaborate Ultra. These hours will take place from 6pm-8pm, and no appointment is necessary.
Do I have the option to attend in-person if I am on campus?
As of now, all ASC student staff are working remotely and services will remain online until classes return to in-person format.
I do not have access to a computer.
Blackboard Collaborate Ultra can be utilized through a mobile device. If you are in the Flagstaff area, you are able to use computers at the North and South Academic Success Centers.
