One-on-One Tutoring
The Academic Success Centers offers FREE 1:1 tutoring support in over 100 NAU courses, both in-person and online through Teams. NOTE: CCC2NAU Students can schedule an appointment by calling our office at the North Academic Success Centers at 928-523-5524. Summer 2026 services end on August 7, 2026. Regular Fall 2026 services begin on August 31, 2026.
Summer & winter session tutoring
The Academic Success Centers offers one-on-one online tutoring for students registered for select courses during the non-regular academic year. Summer and winter tutoring is held on an online and request-only basis – all appointments will be hosted over Microsoft Teams. Our tutoring offerings are limited compared to our regular semester offerings. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to tutoring@nau.edu with any questions. To get the most out of a tutoring session, students should come prepared with questions and materials to work on. Students may schedule up to two forty-five minute appointments per class each week.
Students can complete the tutoring request form below at any time before the start of services to request tutoring.
To request an appointment please complete the form below and an ASC team member will respond within 24-48 hours during regular office operating hours Monday through Friday. You can also contact us at tutoring@nau.edu with any questions.

Appointment policies & booking
Students can book up to two appointments per week (7-day period), per available course. Appointments are 45 minutes long, available in-person or online, and can be changed from online to in-person and vice versa at any time. Students are encouraged to directly log into the tutoring appointment booking site to make changes to their appointments and are welcome to attend other ASC tutoring services in addition to one-on-one tutoring. For in-person appointments, please double check your tutoring location to ensure you are going to the correct center!

How to make an appointment
Cancellation/missed policies
The Academic Success Centers have a 24 hours cancellation policy for appointments. Students can cancel appointments through the tutoring appointment booking site using their NAU credentials to log in or by calling the North or South ASC. An appointment is considered missed after 15 minutes with no student presence or communication. Students with excessive missed or canceled appointments will not be able to book additional appointments for the remainder of the semester with out expressed permission from an ASC staff member.
Accessing your online appointment
A few minutes before your appointment time, please go to the Microsoft Teams link in your appointment confirmation email or log into your tutortrac.nau.edu account. If this is your first time joining an online appointment, we recommend giving yourself a little extra time for any potential technology delays. If you are having significant issues accessing your online appointment, please call our front desk at (928) 523-5524 or email tutoring@nau.edu.

Peer Academic Coaching Accordion Closed
Peer Academic Coaches are current NAU students who work one-on-one with students to develop strong learning strategies both in and out of the classroom. Coaches will help you with time management, test-taking, reading, writing skills and Canvas.
Peer Academic Coaching can be scheduled online for students attending NAU online and NAU community campuses.
Accessing Your Online Coaching Appointment
After scheduling your coaching appointment, please visit the Peer Academic Coaching page, scroll down to “Peer Academic Coach Online Rooms” and click on the link with your tutor’s name to enter your tutoring room at your scheduled appointment.
Study Resources Accordion Closed
The ASCs offer a number of study resources to support student success online and in the classroom. Visit the ASC Study Resources page to find support in course organization, time management, reading strategies, test-taking strategies, note-taking and subject based study skills.
Faculty Resources Accordion Closed
There are a variety of ways the ASCs partner with faculty to support student learning online and on campuses around the state. Resources for faculty can be found on the ASC Faculty Resource page.
