Lumberjack Writing Center
The Lumberjack Writing Center strives to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all Lumberjacks, including undergrads and graduate students, faculty, and staff.
Our services include individual tutoring, asynchronous review, drop-in writing support, workshops, certifications, and more. In an LWC tutoring session you can expect to work with a trained undergraduate or graduate student.
We support all genres of writing and all stages of the writing process, including interpreting assignments, generating ideas and outlining, research, grammar/mechanics, revising, presentations, group projects, and much more. Our goal is to encourage the development of strong writing skills across the university.
We also provide Language Support Services (pronunciation, oral communication). Three of our Writing Assistants have completed English instructional training through the NAU Global Communications Center.
