English 100 / English 405

ENG100 / ENG405 is an undergraduate, non-traditional, 1-credit, P/F class designed to help you grow in your writing through weekly appointments with a designated Writing Assistant. To participate, you must be concurrently enrolled in courses that incorporate writing.

During weekly appointments, you may work on your ENG100/405 course assignments, or those for any other of your classes. You may also bring your resume, cover letter, short story drafts, blog posts, or other written material.

ENG100 is designed to best support for lower-division undergraduates with minimal writing experience, such as students enrolled in 100-200 level course. ENG405 is best suited for upper-division undergraduates who are interested in improving their technical writing skills related to research, or those enrolled in 300-400 level courses.

Students may enroll up to three times over the course of their undergraduate degree. ENG100 is not a prerequisite and not required for ENG105. If you are looking for ENG107, contact Megan.MoranWilson@nau.edu.

To register

Log onto Louie. Navigate to “Enroll” on the sidebar of your Student Center. Select the current term, and register for any section of ENG100 or ENG405. Check for confirmation on your class schedule.

Once enrolled, schedule your weekly appointment

Scheduling occurs during the first week of each semester. Visit our office (Cline 248), email writingcenter@nau.edu, or call 928-523-7745 between 9AM-5PM. Prepare to provide your course number, class section, student ID, and availability for a 50-minute weekly appointment at one of our locations.
