Do you have students that could use a little more help in their writing? Look no further! Through the form below, faculty, advisors, and peer mentors can recommend their students to receive extra help in their writing. Support is available for students of all academic levels, disciplines, and writing abilities.

After you complete the referral form below, we will reach out to your student with information about our resources, including an invitation for tutoring appointments or enrollment in ENG100/405.
Is the referral private? Accordion Closed
Absolutely! The email that students receive will be very broad and non-specific. For example:
“Good morning,
You were referred to the Lumberjack Writing Center to receive support in your writing, and we are happy to help! The LWC provides support to students at all levels, in all disciplines, and at any stage in the writing process. More information about our services can be found at our website, or you can visit our online schedule to schedule a free, one-on-one writing assistance session with one of our excellent Writing Assistants. Please log into to WCOnline, our online schedule, using your NAU ID.
For your convenience, we offer in-person appointments at multiple locations on the NAU Flagstaff Mountain Campus, as well as online. If you have any questions about our program or how to access our resources please feel free to respond to this email (writingcenter@nau.edu) or call us at 928-523-7745.”

The Lumberjack Writing Center (LWC) offers free, one-on-one writing support to all NAU students. Whether you need help brainstorming, formatting citations, or polishing a final draft, trained writing assistants are available to help. You can drop-in or schedule their services in person at any of their four campus locations or online.
