Requirements and how to get your NAU ID card

As a student, you are expected to carry your JacksCard or Digital JacksCard at all times on all campuses.

JacksCard Fees (applies to digital/mobile and physical versions)

$30 for Students, Part-Time Employees, Affiliates

If you have not paid an Enrollment Fee as part of admission, the JacksCard fee will be charged to your student financial account. You may also pay in-person in the JacksCard Office.

Digital JacksCard Requirements

To be eligible for a Digital JacksCard you must be a Northern Arizona University full-time faculty, full-time staff, or student who is enrolled in at least one class taking place at the Flagstaff Mountain Campus. We are currently working to expand the Digital JacksCard program to more of our NAU community in the future. Digital JacksCard is currently supported on Apple iPhone 6s or later and NFC-enabled devices, as well as Android 8.0 or later with NFC capability.

Plastic JacksCard Requirements

To be eligible for only a plastic JacksCard you must be at least one of the following:

• Online and Statewide campus students – A Northern Arizona University student who is enrolled in at least one class taking place at any campus other than the Flagstaff Mountain Campus.
• Affiliates – A visiting faculty or staff, or an affiliate sponsor will need to complete the Affiliate Request Process and return to the Affiliate Management Office located in University Services Building, (Bldg. 90), 3rd Floor (Fax number 928-523-0330).
• Part-time employees – part-time, non benefit eligible employees who require a JacksCard for access to campus buildings and services.

Getting your JacksCard

Digital JacksCard – For full-time employees and Flagstaff Mountain Campus students, to receive a Digital JacksCard, follow the step by step instructions available on the Digital JacksCard page.

Physical JacksCard – Part-time employees and Affiliates, visit the JacksCard Office located in the University Union (Bldg. 30), Room 115. JacksCard prices can be found at Card Pricing. To shorten your wait time, please submit your photo ahead of time and skip the line. Please be prepared to present one of the following forms of government-issued photo identification:

• Driver’s license
• State identification card
• Passport
• Military ID

Applying online

If you are attending NAU at any campus that is not the Flagstaff Mountain Campus, please submit your JacksCard photo, fill out the application, and email it to us along with a photo or scan of a government-issued photo ID, listed above. If you meet the requirements above, a plastic JacksCard will be mailed to you.

If you are attending NAU at the Flagstaff Mountain Campus, you will only need to submit your JacksCard photo and provision your Digital Credential on the NAUGo app.
