Photo Guidelines

Please read before uploading to ensure your photo meets the guidelines:

• Neutral/plain background
• Face the camera straight on
• Eyes open and visible
• Glasses on if normally worn
• Good lighting
• Taken indoors
• Color photo
• Photo from the shoulders up, with space above the head
• Passport-appropriate photos; smiling allowed
• Have someone else take your photo; “selfies” are not allowable

The following will cause photos to be rejected:

• Filters (this will be flagged as “face obscured”)
• Head coverings – unless for religious or medical reasons
• Hair covering face, including eyes
• Other people or objects in photo
• Sunglasses or darkly-tinted eye glasses
• Clothing that obscures your face
• Glare on glasses
• Exaggerated expression
• Poor quality image

• Don’t worry if your photo is sideways or upside down – we can fix it!
