Northern Arizona University has launched multiple initiatives and programs to help students from all walks of life achieve their academic goals at NAU. These programs are designed to help students afford higher education. Listed below are resources available to help make college a possibility.
Access2Excellence Accordion Closed
In 2022, Northern Arizona University announced the Access2Excellence Initiative, a program created to promote diversity and inclusion on campus. The program aims to increase the representation of underrepresented groups in higher education. Beginning with students in the Fall 2023 class, NAU will offer Arizona residents with a household income of $65,000 or below, full tuition coverage at any NAU campus across the state.
Access2Excellence – Arizona Tribes Accordion Closed
As part of this Access2Excellence initiative, Northern Arizona University recently announced that it is partnering with 22 Arizona tribes to help increase the number of Native American students enrolled at the university. This partnership will provide resources and support to Native American students to help them succeed in their studies and graduate from NAU. Students can now qualify for the full Access2Excellence award regardless of residential status and family income.
TheDream.US Accordion Closed
NAU has partnered with TheDream.US, to support undocumented students in achieving academic success. The new partnership allows undocumented students with or without DACA or TPS who came to the US before age 16 and before November 1, 2017, the ability to apply for TheDream.US scholarship to pursue higher education at NAU. Additionally, with the recent passing of Proposition 308 in Arizona, undocumented students in Arizona can now qualify for in-state tuition at Northern Arizona University.
