Clinical services
Clinical services are available to NAU employees and their adult dependents; please call 928-523-1552 to schedule an appointment. In response to the COVID-pandemic, operations have changed, which may include online or telephonic counseling (via HIPAA compliant Zoom).
Please note: EAW is currently scheduling appointments 2 weeks out for most returning clients and has a wait list for new client appointments.
Short-term counseling
Counseling services are available to all benefit-eligible employees to address a variety of issues:
- Work-related challenges
- Marriage and family concerns
- Grief and loss
- Substance use/addictions
- Depression, stress, and/or anxiety
- Health and wellness
Critical incident response
Individuals and work groups may encounter personal and work-related emergencies. EAW staff are available during the work day to assist.
Please note: The office cannot respond to after-hours emergencies.
Consultation Accordion Closed
Consultation assists supervisors in dealing with workplace challenges. It may be used to help identify problem areas, design intervention strategies, and develop positive action plans. Consultation may also be useful to employees with concerns about a family member or friend.
Conflict management Accordion Closed
EAW staff may assist in facilitating communication between two or more people in the workplace. These discussions focus on finding areas of compromise, promoting positive communication, and developing a healthy work environment.
Seminars and workshops Accordion Closed
A variety of wellness workshops are offered each semester for NAU faculty and staff. Programs may also be coordinated on request from departments and groups. For a list of current programs, please visit the Wellness Programs page.
Employees will soon be able to access a catalog of pre-recorded workshops on physical, mental, and emotional health topics through the Canvas platform. Please watch this page and the EAW newsletter for updates coming soon.
