2026–2027 NAU THEATRE SEASON

Rewriting the Narrative

Get ready for a season that flips the script, challenges expectations, and celebrates the power of storytelling in all its forms.

Mother Road

By Octavio Solis

Clifford E. White Theater — October 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, at 7:30 PM and October 25 at 2:00 PM
A modern tale of legacy, family and social justice.
In honor of the 100 year anniversary of Route 66, NAU Theatre proudly presents Mother Road, Octavio Solis’s modern companion to The Grapes of Wrath. This gripping, heartfelt story follows William Joad and Martín Jodes—unexpected relatives bound by legacy—as they journey from California back to Oklahoma. Filled with humor, humanity, and social urgency, Mother Road reimagines the Joad family’s mythic path for a new generation.
