National Conference: Strength through Tradition and Science
The upcoming national conference, Changing Patterns of Cancer in Native Communities: Strength through Tradition and Science is held in Niagara Falls, New York from September 21-24, 2017. This 10th national conference will be co-hosted by Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center and Roswell Park Cancer Institute and led by co-directors:
- Judith Salmon Kaur, MD, Medical Director for Native American Programs, Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center
- Rodney Haring, PhD, MSW, Office of Cancer Health Disparities Research, Department of Cancer Prevention and Population Sciences, Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
The conference plans are already rich with key scientific updates, controversial topic discussions, best practices sharing opportunities, and Haudenosaunee traditional activities. We’re also working on unique intergenerational programming that will create a more-than-“family-friendly” conference experience.
More information can be found in the Save the Date flyer and in the Conference Support and Exhibitor Information brochure (Microsoft Word format and PDF format).
