Include a Syllabus Statement in your Syllabus Accordion Closed
Use the following statement below, or modify it to fit your needs:
All students are encouraged to take advantage of free academic support offered by the Academic Success Centers (ASC) including individual tutoring, peer academic coaching, the math achievement program and supplemental instruction. The ASCs have two locations in the Union Fieldhouse, room 252, on north campus and in Dubois Center, room 140, on south campus. Additional academic support resources are also available through other campus partners including, the Lumberjack Math Center, the Writing Commons and Cline Library. A more complete list of campus-wide resources is available on the ASC website.

Request an in-class study skills workshop Accordion Closed
The ASC Learning Specialist can work with you to create a study skills workshop that is specific to your course content and facilitated in-class at a relevant time in the semester. Examples of successful in-class workshops have included:
- Note-taking & reading strategies for HIS100*
- Note-taking & exam preparation for GLG112*
- Time management, note-taking, & exam preparation for BIO181 & BIO181L*

Integrated academic support
The ASCs can work with faculty to offer customized course support such as weekly drop-in tutoring and exam reviews. Examples of successful models of Integrated Academic Support include:
