Study Area of the Week: NAU Science & Health Building

NAU’s Science & Health Building (SHB) is home to many Science classes and labs. With five floors of classrooms, laboratories, and faculty offices, you can also find studying areas with some amazing views.

On each floor of the SHB, there are single studying couches with pull out desks that will allow you to study comfortably! Because the SHB’s building is built with giant window panels, you are guaranteed to have a wonderful view with these study couches. Another cool thing about these couches is that they have built in charging ports just like the furniture in the Student Academics Success Building!

If you are planning a study session with a group of your buddies, head over to the SHB! There are also study rooms available to use here as well! The study rooms can fit about 6 people max and have white boards for you to use. Professors and SI’s sometimes like to use these study rooms for their sessions so be sure to check the reserved times outside the door of the room. Other than that, you are free to use the study rooms!

The SHB building is typically really quiet and peaceful so if that is what you are looking for when finding a study area, check this place out! Across the skywalk that leads to the neighboring building, the Science Lab facilities, has a coffee shop for all of your caffeine needs. Bean & Beaker is very close by cafe that sells coffee, and snacks.

Enjoy this wonderful study area and good luck with all of your studious journeys!
