Safety Data Sheets

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Hazard Communication Standard requires that Safety Data Sheets (SDSs, formerly referred to as MSDSs) for chemical products in an employee’s work area be readily accessible during their shift. Access to either paper copies or electronic versions are acceptable, as long as they can be accessed promptly. We strongly suggest maintaining a binder with hard copies of SDSs in work areas without internet access. Links to SDSs for the most common vendor products on the NAU Campus are provided below. If you are having difficulty locating an SDS for a product, you can contact the manufacturer directly, or consult with EH&S Staff.
