Environmental Compliance

The university does its part in complying with established environmental regulations that are mainly derived from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). We strive to mitigate pollutant loading to the environment in the form of adhering to strict operating conditions in permits drafted by regulatory entities like the EPA.

In the State of Arizona, the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) issues environmental permits and has primacy in the inspection and enforcement of environmental affairs. We currently operate under permits issued by ADEQ and adheres to the conditions as required by the Clean Water Act and the Clean Air Act.
