What happens when classroom learning extends across the globe? For NAU student Viansa Reid, studying abroad in Spain became an opportunity to strengthen her language skills, gain hands-on research experience, and immerse herself in a new culture.

As part of NAU’s Interdisciplinary Global Programs (IGP), Reid spent an academic year at the University of Alicante, where she completed advanced Spanish coursework, studied environmental science, and worked in a bioplastics research lab investigating biodegradable plastics and microplastics in soil.… Read more
