Academic probation & suspension

NAU requires students to maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 in order to be in Good Academic Standing. When students are not in Good Standing, they will fall in one of the following standings and/or statuses.

Academic probation Accordion Closed

Academic Probation indicates that you have not maintained the minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.

Academic suspension Accordion Closed

Academic Suspension indicates that a student’s cumulative GPA and subsequent term GPA have both dropped below the 2.0 requirement.
View the suspension policy for more information.

Reinstatement Accordion Closed

Student’s may apply for reinstatement after suspension.
