Two advising hubs on the Flagstaff Mountain campus
Starting this summer, University Advising on the Flagstaff Mountain Campus will provide in-person advising experiences through two Advising Hub locations. This change makes it easier to find advising resources—while maintaining your options for appointment modality and your access to our advising teams the same.
Locations for the Advising Hubs
- UA North: Gateway Student Success Center (#43)
- UA South: Learning Resource Center (LRC) (#61)
Both hubs support in-person and virtual advising appointments.
What’s changing?
Clearer advising locations Accordion Closed
Advising services are moving from many different buildings into two easy-to-find hub locations. This means fewer places to search and clearer directions when you choose to come in person.
Transition timeline Accordion Closed
July: Advisors move into their new hub locations. Drop-in advising will be paused from June 18 – Aug 3 to support this transition. Advisors will still be available over email, phone, and by appointment.
August: All advisors will be fully moved in and ready to support students.
Beginning August 4: New drop-in hours will be available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1:00–3:30 PM, for both virtual and in-person meetings.
How to access advising during the transition Accordion Closed
Even while teams are moving, students can still access advising support:
- Scheduled appointments continue (virtual and in person).
- Students may email or call their advisor directly.
- Virtual advising options remain fully available.
Students should continue to use the Appointment Planner to confirm their advisor, appointment type, location, and availability. The Appointment Planner is the most up-to-date source for advising information.
Who should use each advising hub? Accordion Closed
You do not need to choose a hub ahead of time. Your Appointment Planner will always tell you which location (UA North or UA South) your advisor will be in for scheduled appointments.
Students are welcome to stop into either advising hub at any time—especially if they are between classes or unsure where to go. Front desk staff are available at both hubs to help confirm advisor locations, answer general questions, and direct students to the right space or next step.
Both hubs are welcoming entry points to University Advising—there is no wrong door.

Your advisor
Students will keep their assigned advisor. Advisors are not changing as part of this move.
Advising options
Virtual and in-person advising options continue to be available. Students can still meet with their advisor by phone, video, or in person—depending on availability and preference.
Academic expertise and support
Advisors will continue supporting the same majors and colleges. Advisor knowledge, relationships, and guidance remain the same.
Students should keep an eye on their email for more direct updates from their advisor.
