It’s that time of the year again. Unfortunately it’s not summer vacation, but midterms are right around the corner. This time is usually a stressful time for a lot of students, but you can definitely get through it. Here are five ways to survive midterms.
Know when your midterms are:
Check your course schedule and syllabus to see when your midterms are. For every class, I have a list of important dates and deadlines in my planner. Knowing when your midterms are will help you manage your time.
Make a study guide:
Some professors have study guides, and others don’t. Find out what you need to know for the exam and make a study guide! Whether it’s flashcards, quizlet, or just typing it all out out on Microsoft word, these will help you pass your midterms.
Set aside some time for fun:
You’ve been working so hard so you need to make sure you set aside some time for fun! Fun is important and you need time to relax. Whether it’s binge-watching your favorite show on Netflix or bowling at Starlite Lanes, make sure you’re enjoying yourself.
Stay healthy:
Midterms is a very stressful time so you need to make sure you stay healthy. Drink lots of water, get a good night sleep, and try to eat as healthy as you can. Doing all of this can help you fuel up your brain for midterms.
Ask for help when you need it:
If you’re stuck on a certain concept or confused about a subject, ask someone! You can email or visit your professor during their office hours to ask for help. If you’re too scared to ask your professor, you can always ask their TA or ask another student taking that class. Chances are, they will probably know the answer and help you out!
