Tip Tuesday: Spring Break (on a budget)

Posted by Peer Jack Mentors on March 14, 2018

We are almost halfway through spring semester. You know what that means, spring break is coming up! Spring Break is the time to sit back, relax, and take a break from school. Sometimes spring break can be a little expensive, but here are 5 ways to have an amazing spring break without breaking your bank account.

Plan ahead: If you’re planning to go to Disneyland or take a spontaneous trip, plan ahead! Hotels and tickets may be sold out or be priced higher. Book everything ahead of time.

The more the merrier: Whether it’s booking a place to stay or driving to your destination vacation, the more people the better! This means more people to split the costs with and more people to have fun with.

Coupons: You may not notice, but the money you spend on food will add up. Look for coupons to get discounts and save money on food!

Free? I’m there: It’s possible to have fun without spending money. Do your research and look for places you can go to for free. You could go the beach, go hiking, or if you’re lucky tour an art museum for free.

Pictures are your best souvenirs: Buying a small magnet may seem inexpensive, but it can add up. Taking pictures are the best souvenirs. You can print them out for 25 cents a photo at Walmart and you’ll have something to remember the memories by.
