Study Area of the Week: NAU HLC
The Health and Learning Center (HLC) at NAU is a great destination for many things and has many amenities. In addition to having classrooms, the HLC includes the Recreational Center for all of your fitness needs, a Medical Clinic, food stops, and private/semi-private study areas!
The HLC is a great place to get your studying and assignments done. There is a huge open study area on the second floor with many desks and chairs for you to utilize! Within each floor, there are also study rooms available for you to use. In the study rooms, there are also white boards. Also within each floor of the HLC are couches with side desks if you are looking to feel more relaxed. Do not forget about the wonderful views you will get from the HLC!!
In the midst of your study, you might start to feel a little groggy and sleepy. Why not wake you and your body up by going to the Rec Center on the first floor and do a little jog around the indoor track or do some biceps curl? We all need that little break in between studying.
Feeling hungry while studying? The Green Scene Cafe is conveniently located on the 2nd floor and has a variety of sandwiches for you to munch on! They also have coffee, lemonade, and iced tea. Amazing.
But wait, there’s more! Essential Blends is located on the 1st floor of the HLC and sells smoothies! Come grab and smoothie with some protein to give your body and brain that extra boost for studying.
Both of these food places accepts transfers, dining dollars, and JDE.
