It’s the Spring Semester! Another chance in the school to improve yourself as an individual!
We start off motivated, headstrong, and pretty excited to do better on the things we know we could have done better in the last semester. As we roll on over to week 6—or 7, what week is it?!—our motivation may begin to dwindle bit by bit. We get more and more sleepless nights from trying to balance out classes, friendships, calling mom/dad, and trying to block out time for yourself.
Mental Health Tip of the Week:
Instead of staring at your phone for notifications 24/7, try and unplug for at least an hour. If you want to challenge yourself, do it for a day! Take some time to reflect on how you’re doing, or spend that “unplug” hour just hanging out with someone.
Maintaining life altogether can get pretty hectic sometimes. However, everyone has their own way of coping with stress! Some go on a Friday night out with the company they enjoy, and others prefer to snuggle in with a Netflix marathon of Grey’s Anatomy. Some people do both!
It all depends on the kind of stress that you’re going through. Know that even if some days may feel like the world is bringing you down, you are definitely not alone!
As we continue to journey through the rest of this semester, I’ll be providing you tips on how to slow down and refresh.
