This restaurant is a great place for anyone who loves or has yet to try authentic Indian food at a reasonable price. They offer a wide variety of different curries, naans(breads), and other dishes that cover a delicious range of different flavors. On top of a wide variety of options, each dish is spiced separately on a scale from 1-5, with a one being mild and a five being spicy. Having such a wide range of options gives you lots of opportunities to experiment with different combinations of flavors. Also, the service from the staff is amazing with you never having to deal with an empty glass or being confused with the menu. Any questions that you might have about flavors will be answered promptly by the waiters.
The Delhi Palace has both a lunch and dinner menu; lunch is a buffet style deal where you pay $8.95 and eat to your heart’s content, while dinner is more on the expensive end of the scale with an entree starting around $10. I have only been to dinner myself, but the meals can definitely get expensive if you go by yourself. My recommendation is to try eating here for lunch first if you have not had any Indian food before that way you can find out if you like it for a reasonable price, but if you know what you like and want a great experience with friends, dinner is another solid option. My personal favorite order is the Madras lamb with some garlic naan and Pulao rice to eat on the side.
You can find Delhi Palace on Forest Meadows Street, in between Walmart and Fremont Station apartments off of south campus. Their lunch hours are from 11AM-2:45 PM all week long and their dinner hours are from 5PM-9:45PM. Get ready for a full stomach and a lighter wallet after this culinary excursion.
