Are you hungry and running out of new places to eat? Do you like food? Are you getting tired of all of these rhetorical question? If you answered yes to any or all of these questions then you have nothing to lose from eating at this restaurant. Aloha Hawaiian BBQ serves… you guessed it, Hawaiian food. What they lack in subtlety is made for with a relatively complex menu that ranges from chicken, beef or pork bowls to other less known Hawaiian dishes. The menu might seem a little daunting, but feel free to ask the cashier for their advice in order to help make an informed decision. I ordered the number 10, or the chicken katsu, and got a blended boba smoothie. Both were very tasty and are recommended if you have not tasted them before.
The feel of the restaurant is pretty laid back, with some latest hits music playing in the background. Other than some surface level decorations, there was little attempt to create any kind of theme within the restaurant. The staff of the establishment was very friendly and helpful to everyone that comes in for a yummy midnight snack. The food is priced from $7 to $10 depending on what you order so it’s a pretty cheap place to try.
Aloha is open from 11 AM to 11 PM Sunday to Wednesday and 11 AM to 3 AM Thursday to Saturday. Since they are open so late, they make a great place to grab a midnight snack. It is across the tracks, just left of San Francisco St. in an alley between a Crystal shop and Karma Sushi.
