New NAU policy: Participation in Foreign Talent Recruitment Programs
The Office of the Vice President for Research has published a new NAU policy, Participation in Foreign Talent Recruitment Programs (FTRP). The policy was created to meet the requirements of the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022 (Subtitle D Research Security, Sections 10631, 10632 and 10638 of the U.S. Public Law 117-167), which requires Covered Individuals (senior/key personnel) to disclose participation in FTRPs and certify prior to proposal submission that they are not party to a Malign FTRP.

Updates to NSF proposal submission requirements
Beginning May 20, 2024, in accordance with Section 10623 of the CHIPS and Science Act, each individual identified as a senior/key person on an NSF grant will be required to certify prior to proposal submission and annually thereafter for the duration of the award that they are not a party to a malign foreign talent recruitment program.
