Refer a student to the LWC
Do you have students that could use a little more help in their writing? Look no further! Through the form below, faculty, advisors, and peer mentors can recommend their students to receive extra help in their writing. Support is available for students of all academic levels, disciplines, and writing abilities.
How does it work?
After completing the referral form below, students will receive an email from our office. We will offer them resources and information on tutoring appointments or enrollment in ENG100/405.
Is the referral private?
Absolutely! The email that students receive will be very broad and non-specific. For example:
“Good morning,
You were referred to the Lumberjack Writing Center to receive support in your writing, and we are happy to help! The LWC provides support to students at all levels, in all disciplines, and at any stage in the writing process. More information about our services can be found at our website, or you can visit our online schedule to schedule a free, one-on-one writing assistance session with one of our excellent Writing Assistants. Please log into to WCOnline, our online schedule, using your NAU ID.
For your convenience, we offer in-person appointments at multiple locations on the NAU Flagstaff Mountain Campus, as well as online. Details shared in this form are entirely confidential. A private email will be sent to the student with information on how to gain assistance in their work. Your name will not be mentioned.
