The Netflix documentary, disclosure, provides an intimate, thoughtful, and critical look at the historical representation of trans people in film. It shows us how profoundly our views and our systems, including healthcare, are affected by the media we consume.

VitalZone
VitalZone is a healthcare-focused approach to SafeZone. A SafeZone is a confidential, safe space where you can learn, ask questions and reflect. VitalZone takes this a step further. LGBTQIA+ people are more likely to experience discrimination in healthcare settings, more likely to be diagnosed with chronic illnesses, and less likely to receive quality health education related to safe sex practices, and less likely to have assistance paying for healthcare services. Local, state, and federal health policies also limit access to services. As a whole, these challenges impede the ability of LGBTQIA+ people to lead safe, healthy lives. In VitalZone, we tackle the issue head on, and we break down how healthcare workers can play a part in making a more just and equitable healthcare system for all LGBTQIA+ individuals.
