Supporting your Students in their Writing

Do you have students that could use a little more help in their writing? Look no further! The Lumberjack Writing Center is excited to announce our new LWC Student Referral Program, where faculty, advisors, and peer mentors can recommend their students to receive extra help in their writing. Support is available for students of all academic levels, disciplines, and writing abilities.

How does it work?

After completing the LWC Student Referral form below, students will receive an email from our office offering them resources and information about where to access the Lumberjack Writing Center and receive one-on-one writing assistance with one of our excellent Writing Assistants.

Is the referral private?

Absolutely! The email that students receive will be very broad and non-specific. An example would be:

“Good morning,

You were referred to the Lumberjack Writing Center to receive support in your writing, and we are happy to help! The LWC provides support to students at all levels, in all disciplines, and at any stage in the writing process. More information about our services can be found at https://in.nau.edu/interdisciplinary-writing-program/lumberjack-writing-center/, or you can visit our scheduling website directly at https://nau.mywconline.com/ to get set up for free, one-on-one writing assistance with one of our excellent Writing Assistants.
