About
The fully-online Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Practice and Leadership (AHPL) is designed for students who hold an associate’s degree or are licensed in the allied health field. The allied health field is broad and includes radiology techs, physical therapy assistants, respiratory care, paramedics, and more.
Students may transfer up to 90 credits into the program, and complete a minimum of 30 credits at Northern Arizona University to earn their bachelor’s degree. Current licensure in an allied health field may be eligible for up to 18 transfer credits.
Whether your goal is to complete your bachelor’s degree or prepare for graduate school, we have a flexible curriculum that allows you to build the right degree plan for you.
Curriculum
In the program, you will complete 15 credits of Allied Health Practice and Leadership coursework and select a 15-credit leadership certificate to pursue. Options include:
- Transformational Leadership and Culture – focuses on developing cultural insight, self-awareness, and mindfulness to lead teams and build healthy workplace environments.
- Strategic Leadership – focuses on improving the attitudes, behaviors, and mindsets of individuals, blending leadership theory with practical, project-based applications.
Customized degree plans
If you are completing more than 30 units of study at NAU, we can work with you to personalize your elective study.
