Transferring Credits to NAU

Official vs. Unofficial Transcripts

  • Official Transcripts Tab Open

  • Unofficial Transcripts Tab Closed

Official Transcripts Accordion Open

Official transcripts and Score Reports are how NAU will post class credit to your account, and come directly from the organization granting the credit (community college, CollegeBoard, IB, etc…)

Dual Enrollment: send from the college granting the credit – High School transcript is not sufficient.

Please send your official transcripts and/or score reports to:

University Admissions
PO Box 4084
Flagstaff, AZ 86011-4084

Unofficial Transcripts Accordion Closed

Unofficial transcripts and Score Reports can be emailed from student to advisor. They are used to unofficially evaluate how credits will transfer to NAU. Unofficial evaluation can be used by advisors to enroll students in their next level of coursework.

Please send your unofficial transcript(s) or Score Report(s) to NAU Transfer Center and to your Academic Advisor from your NAU email.

NOTE: Students are still required to send official transcripts to receive credit.

  • To download your AP or SAT Score Report, visit collegeboard.org
  • To download your ACT Score Report, visit act.org

Will my AP scores earn credit at NAU?

Use NAU’s Academic Catalog to look up how AP, IB, CLEP, and other test scores can equate to NAU class credit.

How will my college level coursework transfer to NAU?

  • From Arizona Community Colleges and Universities: AZTransfer
  • From any in-state, out-of-state, community college, or university: JacksPath
  • Use this quick tutorial to learn how to use JacksPath and AZTransfer
