Resources for Your First Year

A series for new faculty

This monthly series is designed to assist new faculty throughout their first year at NAU. It is by invitation only and is designed for faculty members new to teaching at NAU. Topics vary each month, and the group meets monthly on Fridays.

2025 New Faculty will be automatically enrolled into Productive Beginnings.

Meetings are offered in person and online. All new faculty will receive workshop reminders, location details, the agenda for each meeting, and relevant institutional information. In addition to learning about NAU resources for faculty and students, Productive Beginnings provides an opportunity to meet other new faculty joining NAU.

Productive Beginnings will be held on Fridays from 1:30 – 3:00 pm. 

Fall 2025: 9/19, 10/1, & 11/14
Spring 2026: 1/23, 2/20, 3/20 & 4/17
