Page titles and names

The page title tells readers what the page is about. It shows up in the tab at the top of the browser page and is displayed in Google search results. The page title should be descriptive enough to stand alone from the content beneath it.
How-To Accordion Closed
- In most cases the Page Title, URL, Menu Item, and H1 Page Heading should all be the same.
- If there is an “in page” link that drives the user to this page, it should also be the same as the page name.
- The exception to this is alternate page URLs when using conjunctions. The page titled Faculty & Staff Directory should have the URL nau.edu/faculty-staff-directory/
