What is Engineering Fest?

Engineering Fest is an annual event that allows students to present their work and engage with peers and professionals in their interested fields. This event includes panel discussions, a capstone and research poster competition, and networking opportunities. It gives undergraduate students a chance to see what their peers have discovered and researched.

Why present at Engineering Fest?

Registration Information

Engineering Fest happens at the end of the fall semester. Registration opens in early November in Handshake.

Looking to present? Your professor will need to provide SICCS with your name, team names and poster titles. If you are an independent student, you will need to provide SICCS with your name, team members name, team name, poster title, the professor they are working under, and class.

Presentation Information

Event Overview

• Poster presentations will be held in the High Country Conference Center
• You are required to stay for the entire session in which you are presenting
• Dress professionally as you will be interacting with people from across the university as well as the community. It is an important way to make a good impression and potential connection
• Bring only the essentials: a water bottle, and flyers or handouts you may need for your presentations, your phone, and wallet.

Poster Design

It is the responsibility of participating students to create and print posters for the poster sessions. For consistency and convenience, we recommend that you download and use the OSF | Better Scientific Poster template.

The Office of Undergraduate Research & Creative Activity (OURCA) is available to help with poster templates and formatting tips. You can email OURCA to schedule a meeting to get feedback on your presentation.
