February was our busiest travel month ever – 988 new travel cases were opened! This is up from February 2023 by 260 cases!! The Travel Team closed 857 cases in the month of February.
We are excited to announce that we have filled our Travel Specialist vacancy and look forward to Liza Tutnauer starting April 1, 2024.

Travel Training
- As a reminder Travel Policy training needs to be completed each fiscal year. Over 350 individuals have completed all modules to-date.
- There are three remaining Travel Booking trainings scheduled through May 2024. After May, there will be no in-person trainings offered until September 2024.
- The Travel Booking Guide has been updated (3/1/2024) and is available in the ESC Knowledge Base Articles.
- The next Travel Liaison meeting with be Tuesday, March 26th from 1:30-3:00 PM. Please add yourself to the Travel Liaison listserv to be added to the meeting invite.

- In February, travel cases opened post-travel were (12%) of all submitted cases, up from January by (3%). As a reminder, when cases are opened post-travel, this further delays reimbursements to travelers because of the additional documentation and approvals required for these cases.
- There is a new Travel Case Trends by Trip Type Over Time data set viewable on the Metrics website. The graph displays travel case trends by traveler’s classification and trip type over time. A general travel case trend analysis also accompanies the graph on the website.
