The Merriam-Powell Research Station (MPRS) primarily provides affordable housing and research facilities to scientists and students conducting field research in northern Arizona. Additionally, the MPRS offers affordable day-long and overnight meeting and retreat facilities to educational, scientific, non-profit, and governmental organizations, including NAU-affiliated groups. On the grounds of The Arboretum at Flagstaff, the MPRS is approximately 5 miles west of Flagstaff, Arizona.
