Why IGP?

This one of a kind program allows you to graduate with 2 undergraduate degrees plus immerse in language and culture outside of the U.S. for one year. In IGP we strive to provide students with various mentorship opportunities, events that help build global career skills, and the support to find an international internship experience that will lead students to developing global career skills that they can take out into the work force.

• 2 undergraduate degrees from NAU (STEM, Business, or Psychology + Language or Cultural)
• Professional internship experience abroad
• Strong foreign language proficiency
• A fantastic résumé to support any career path imaginable

What to expect

You’ll spend the first 3 years of the program building cultural and professional skills while completing requirements for your STEM, Business, or Psychological Science degree and Language or Cultural degree. IGP offers inclusive programming to practice your global career skills and keep you on track for graduation throughout your time with the program.

During your 4th year, you’ll get the opportunity to study abroad in the language you’re learning to provide you with cultural and language immersion, as well as a 5 month internship in your field of study.

Orientation

• Create your integrated academic plan
• Generally you add 1.2 more classes to your subject major progression plan each semester
• You can do it! 

Career Planning

• Continue to take classes in both of your majors
• Create your professional application materials in English
• Continue to gain insights into cultural theory and connect with Level 5 students

• Apply to broad array of scholarships for the year abroad 
• Submit your Destination Selection: rank your choices for international universities

 

Immersion Year

Study Abroad Semester
