Our commitment to inclusion

IGP is committed to ensuring an inclusive environment in which our students, staff, and partners represent the full spectrum of backgrounds and experiences. In the IGP community, you belong, and you will be welcomed, supported, and empowered to share your unique perspective throughout your undergraduate education. Embracing differences and celebrating diversity in languages, cultures, perspectives, and approaches is at the heart of what we do in IGP.

How does IGP support you, with your unique background and identity, to succeed in the program and your career?

Accessibility:

  • Offer a free and efficient application process that encourages you to apply
  • Offer inclusive programming to practice your global career skills and keep you on track for graduation
  • Nurture an inclusive culture and environment where you feel at home

Affordability:

  • Ensure that NAU merit scholarships apply during the year abroad and extend into year 5
  • Promote a broad array of scholarships for the year abroad

Achievable:

  • Completing IGP means adding 1.2 more classes to your subject major progression plan before going abroad. Nearly half of your language or cultural studies major is earned while abroad
  • Approximately 35% of IGP students graduate in 4.5 years
  • You can do it!
