The Eighth International Conference on Mycorrhiza will take place in beautiful Flagstaff, Arizona, a community in the heart of the southwestern United States with exceptional recreational and cultural opportunities. Flagstaff is famous for being a gateway to Grand Canyon National Park, but it is also nearby a large number of other less famous but no less stunning national parks, monuments, and forests.
Flagstaff and attractions
Flagstaff is a mountain town surrounded by ponderosa pine forests at an elevation of 2,135 m (7,000 feet). Like other southwestern cities, Flagstaff enjoys an abundance of sunshine, having on average 288 sunny days each year. However, because Flagstaff is one of the highest cities in the United States, it maintains a comfortable average daytime high temperature of 25.6°C (78°F) and evening low temperate of 10°C (50° F) in August.

Travel and shuttle service
The conference and associated meetings will be held at the High Country Conference Center and surrounding buildings on the campus of Northern Arizona University, which is a 5-minute walk from the heart of downtown Flagstaff. The location offers easy access to entertainment, dining, and shopping. The conference center is only 15 minutes from the Flagstaff Pulliam Airport (FLG), a regional airport located 5 miles south of the city. Shuttle service is also available from Phoenix’s Sky Harbor International Airport, which is 140 miles south of Flagstaff.
Shuttle service
Arizona Shuttle provides service between Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and Northern Arizona University. They have offered ICOM8 participants a $2 discount per person for each direction. Visit the ICOM8 Arizona Shuttle web page and enter the code ICOM8 before proceeding to the next step. Internet reservations receive a $2 discount per person, each direction, so the ICOM8 code gives you an additional $2 per person for each direction. If you make your shuttle reservation over the phone, please make sure you mention that you are part of ICOM8 group and our dispatchers will apply the discount.
