Opportunities outside of NAU programs

U.S. students have additional options for studying abroad

Private provider programs (such as ISEP-Direct and USAC)  are run by study abroad companies for U.S. students.

  • These programs help us to fill gaps to get you where you want to go, studying what you want to study. Often times it can be more expensive than exchange programs due to highly structured, hands on support and inclusive nature. Talk to your Education Abroad advisor to see if this type of program may work for you.
  • Loans, grants, and some non-NAU scholarships can be applied to provider programs. Tuition waivers and NAU scholarships (including but not limited to: AIMS, Dean’s, President’s, EARP) cannot be used on these programs.
  • Students will receive letter grades for credit on USAC programs or transfer credit on all other provider programs. Grades do not count towards GPA if a student receives transfer credit.
