Travel & accommodations
The Third International Workshop on Biological Soil Crusts will take place in beautiful Moab, Utah, a community in the heart of the southwestern United States with exceptional recreational and cultural opportunities for the visitor. Moab is famous for its proximity to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks with their colorful rock arches, canyons, mesas, and buttes. Surrounded by thousands of square miles of amazing red rock landscapes, Moab is also well-known for its access to world-class mountain biking, hiking, and canyoneering. Visitors can also experience whitewater rafting, canoeing, or kayaking on the Colorado River.
The conference will take place at Star Hall, a theater built in 1906 that has been lovingly restored, in the heart of downtown Moab and a few minutes walk from local restaurants, pubs, hotels, and shopping. Star Hall, also known as the Moab Art Theater, is at 159 East Center Street, Moab, Utah.
