Secure Computing

NAU’s Advanced Research Computing department currently maintains one HIPAA-rated secure-computing environment, known as Adams.

Adams is a Windows-based remote-desktop server available to approved NAU researchers to perform statistical and other analysis on high-risk/highly-sensitive data. (NAU-affiliation must include faculty, employee, staff, student, or affiliate.)

Access to Adams is granted through SHERC who funds the project. Please see the ITS Knowledge Base article “Adams Secure Server Access [KB0014599]” for instructions on requesting access to Adams, as well as information on using the remote-desktop environment.

Note: If your research requires CUI data-security, please contact us directly at ask-arc@nau.edu.
