Request Classroom Access

Use of Monsoon resources in the classroom involves interacting with Linux and the Slurm scheduler. This can be daunting at first and will require a workshop or two to get the students up to speed to do anything useful outside of just running code on our login nodes.

Running developed binaries and scripts on the login nodes should only be done for debugging purposes, and not for the purpose of avoiding using Slurm and Monsoon’s compute nodes to complete an assignment.

We recommend having the class attend a 2 hour session which will go over the technologies and intricacies of Monsoon and Slurm. Please contact us to discuss a time/date to hold a workshop for your class.

You must submit a request for classroom access must be done at least two weeks before the resources are to be used. This is to ensure that the resources are provisioned correctly for your class.
