Introduction

The ARC Support Bot is an LLM-powered chat bot that has ingested our publicly accessible documentation and can answer questions related to our team’s service offerings and the Monsoon HPC environment. Our goal with this is to provide a 24/7 automated AI agent to answer your queries as if you’re talking to a person to has memorized our documentation. But please be aware that its responses may contain hallucinations, omissions, or otherwise inaccurate information. This is an experimental tool, which we plan on iterating upon in the near term. So please email us at arc@nau.edu to talk to a real person!

Accessing the ARC Support Bot

Visit this URL in a web browser: ARC Support Bot

If you’re not already signed into a Microsoft account, it will prompt you to do so. You must use your NAU-provided Microsoft account the bot will be inaccessible otherwise.

The first time you use it, you’ll see a purple “Add” button, click it. Then you’ll see two buttons “Open” and “Open with Copilot”. The former will open a chat to communicate with the bot via Microsoft Teams, and the latter will use Microsoft 365. Attention! Please only select the “Open with Copilot” option. Using the Teams version consumes additional credits.

Afterwards, it’ll be added to your list of agents and you will not have to click the URL again. You simply navigate to M365 Copilot and then navigate to “Agents -> ARC Support Bot” in the side bar.

Interact with it as you would with the main Copilot chat. It’s essentially the same, but with our public documentation added to its knowledge base!
