As your student prepares for their Lumberjack journey via new student Onboarding, we know you’ll be supporting them along the way! As you help them navigate their next steps, we’re here to support you with webinars throughout the summer and an opportunity to meet in-person and connect with other families during Welcome Week in August.

All onboarding events and services are free. 

Lumberjack Family Chats

Our Lumberjack Family Chats, hosted by NAU Family Engagement, will introduce you to NAU staff who will answer your questions about your student’s college journey as a Lumberjack. Over the summer, we invite you to join us for three Lumberjack Family Chats, each focused on essential topics related to your Lumberjack’s success.  

• May 13, 2026: Lumberjack Family Chat: New Student Basics 
• June 10, 2026: Lumberjack Family Chat: Paying for College & Navigating Health Resources 
• July 15, 2026: Lumberjack Family Chat: Living & Thriving at NAU 

All webinars are hosted via Zoom from 5:30-6:30 p.m. MST and can be accessed on any mobile device or computer.

For information about your student’s next steps to joining our NAU community, we invite family members of students to join The Lumberjack Family Hub. This will allow you to receive timely and important information via an engaging newsletter, emails, and a portal. Sign up at families.nau.edu.
