December 2022 Travel Optimization Update
As the fall semester draws to a close, the number of new travel support cases opened by the university community has slowed. This month marks the first where the RPSU caseload has decreased and cases closed outpaced the cases opened.
We are looking ahead to the start of 2023 which will bring more work on metrics including some trending information. We expect the new Justification for Exception to Policy Request form to be integrated into cases in January which will eliminate the need for the OnBase form which operates outside of the transaction. This enhanced process will reference travel policy in a more direct way and will build upon approvals that are already in place. More information will be shared specifically on that item as the implementation date draws closer.
Travel training is also on our radar. We had hoped to have an online version by this point, however resource constraints have impacted our ability to deliver this functionality. We remain hopeful that this will be delivered in FY23. More live sessions will be available in January and February. Regardless, we are pleased to share that over 600 people attended travel training in fall, 2022.
All of our best to you and yours.
Enjoy the winter closure,
The RPSU team
