Innovations

NAU Innovations manages technology development, intellectual property, and commercialization for the university. The office works with faculty, researchers, and students to protect inventions, manage patents, and license technologies for commercial development and use.

Tech transfer

Technology transfer moves research discoveries and innovations from the university to the public through commercialization and industry partnerships. The process includes identifying commercial potential, protecting intellectual property, licensing technologies, and managing industry partnerships and agreements.

NSF Innovation Corps (I-Corps™)

The NSF Innovation Corps (I-Corps™) program is a seven week training program that helps researchers, students, and postdocs assess whether their research has commercial potential and explore possible paths to commercialization.

Innovations Advisory Board

The NAU Innovations Advisory Board provides strategic guidance, advice, and suggestions to NAU Innovations on issues related to industry partnerships, sponsors, and commercialization.

Intellectual Property Committee

The NAU Intellectual Property Committee reviews proposed changes to intellectual property policy, makes recommendations associated with proposed changes, and reviews disputes by employees and others.
