NAU DPT Program Overview
NAU’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program has been providing first-choice DPT education in Arizona since 1980. Our vision is to ignite and lead the transformation of physical therapy education and our mission is to create transformational educational experiences and empower graduates to provide person-centered value-based care to improve the health and quality of life for those they serve.

The Flagstaff DPT program graduated its first class in 1980 and continues to deliver world-class physical therapy education in Flagstaff, AZ.
Each of our DPT program prepares graduates for contemporary physical therapy practice with the knowledge, skills, and behaviors essential for a rapidly evolving health care system.
Residential, Phoenix Accordion Closed
The Phoenix DPT program, located at the Phoenix Bioscience Core, was established in 2012 and features state-of-the-art facilities in Downtown Phoenix, alongside UA and ASU health and healthcare programs.

Hybrid, Online & Immersions Accordion Closed
The Hybrid DPT program is primarily online and can be completed from anywhere with periodic travel to Flagstaff or Phoenix for rich, immersive in-person learning experiences.

Expert Faculty
NAU DPT program faculty are recognized for their expertise and contribution to the physical therapy profession. They translate this expertise into learning experiences for the students and mentor them to become life-long learners, critical thinkers, and clinically competent practitioners who function autonomously within a complex health care system.
Immersive Clinical Education
Students gain hands-on clinical experience throughout the program through a wide network of Arizona-based and national sites—including our on-site clinic—learning from NAU’s expert faculty across diverse care settings to improve function and support the health and well-being of individuals and communities.
Financial Aid Resources
Once you are accepted into the DPT program, a variety of scholarships, tuition waivers, and student loans may be available to you. The actual amount of scholarship money that is available each year varies. Additional information regarding financial assistance may be obtained from the NAU Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.
