As we look ahead to the fall semester, now is a great time to make sure your mental health and wellness is strong. Campus Health Services (CHS) has resources to help with this.
Integrated behavioral health providers at CHS work alongside medical providers to address health conditions that can be improved by developing healthy habits. Summer is a great time to meet with a behavioral health provider for a brief or same-day visit and set goals for lifestyle changes that can help improve your mental and physical health.
Psychiatry resources for medical mental health disorders treated with medication also are available.
“Self-care is more than just healthy habits and getting outside. It is fundamental to mental and emotional health,” said Carl Dindo, director of Counseling Services at CHS. “It is multidimensional and intentional, prompting us to strive for balance in our lives, while also encouraging us to seek resources and support when we need additional help.”
Talk with your primary care provider if you would like to schedule an appointment for behavioral health or psychiatry, stop by the front desk at CHS or give us a call at (928) 523-2131 for more information.
Beyond CHS, Employee Assistance and Wellness (EAW) offers counseling and other wellness services for faculty and staff members.
