From Flagstaff*

From Milton Road go west on Route 66 (intersection with a Chevron station and Barnes and Noble). Stay on Route 66 for about 2 miles until you reach Woody Mountain Road. Turn left and follow Woody Mountain Road for 4 miles (dirt surface for 3 miles) until you reach the entrance of The Arboretum at Flagstaff, which will be on your right and marked with the sign above. Continue PAST the sign for another 600 ft (200 m) until you see the Merriam-Powell Research Station sign and turn right. Follow the road until you reach a metal gate and go through it, closing it behind you. Follow the MPRS signs until you reach the research station.

From I-17/I-40 *

As you approach Flagstaff from I-17, take I-40 west until you reach exit 191. This exit will take you to Route 66. Go east on Route 66 for about 2 miles until you each Woody Mountain Road. Follow Woody Mountain Road west for 4 miles (dirt surface for 3 miles) until you see the entrance of The Arboretum at Flagstaff, which will be on your right and marked with the sign above. Continue PAST the sign for another 600 ft (200 m) until you see the Merriam-Powell Research Station sign and turn right. Follow the road until you reach a metal gate and go through it, closing it behind you. Follow the MPRS signs until you reach the research station.
