Biography

Renae K. Walters, Diné Institute Fellow, is a third Grade teacher at Tonalea School in Tonalea Arizona with in the Bureau of Indian Education, Navajo District on the Navajo Nation. Acknowledgement must be given to the teachers from all over the Navajo Nation and surrounding school districts off the Navajo Nation who are fellow Diné Institute members. Special thanks to Dr. Shannon Guerrero our math seminar leader; she was very knowledgeable and helpful in gathering information. To Dr. Angelina Castagno for setting up seminar meeting dates and times even through challenging times, she setup zoom meetings. To Jolene Smith for helping with some of the discourse I needed to write this paper. To Jorden Morales for your encouraging words and giving me ideas.
